Stéphane Favron

Stéphane Favron has been an International Representative for the province of Quebec since his appointment July 1, 2020. He had previously been a Special Representative of the UA, protecting the interests of members in the province of Quebec.
Stéphane Favron was elected unanimously to the position of International Representative at the 40th General Convention in August 2021. He has been assigned as an International Representative for the province of Quebec since his appointment July 1, 2020. He had previously been appointed as a Special Representative of the UA in February 2017, protecting the interests of members in the province of Quebec.
In January 2008, Stéphane Favron was appointed as a Business Agent for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 144 in Montreal, Quebec. In his role as Business Agent, Brother Favron was responsible for building strong relationships with other UA locals across Canada.
Prior to his appointment as Business Agent, in 2007, Brother Favron worked as a Pipeline Foreman for the Louisbourg pipeline and also for Solimec, which are both part of TransCanada projects. In that position, he was responsible for the heavy industrial sector, pipe shops, travelers' concerns, pre-job markups, and jurisdiction. He also served on the Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC) as a representative for the province of Quebec.
Out in the field, from 2002 to 2006, Brother Favron worked as a Foreman for Ganotec. In 2001, he became a Foreman for Petro Canada for Ganotec. He was also a General Foreman and Superintendent at Petro Canada in Montreal. Additionally, he was a Job Steward for Banister Foundation on pipelines in Montreal and also worked as a spacer fitter. In 2000, he began working as a pipefitter at the Petro Canada Suncor refinery.
Brother Favron began his apprenticeship in 1987 in Montreal, Quebec. He worked as a pipe fabricator at a shop in Montreal and was officially initiated into Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 144, Montreal, in 1998.
